We understand that there are a range of opinions represented across our union on topics such as the referendum.
The union is built on the principle of solidarity - the simple idea that we are stronger together. That means that we need to let the things that unite us, be stronger than the things that divide us.
Every AEU member is free to make up their own mind on the matter of a voice to parliament, and can disagree with our democratically set position on this topic.
Please don't let that get in the way of joining together to fight against a system that is drowning overworked and undervalued teachers and educators.
Let's always make sure that the things that unite us are stronger than the things that divide us.
