Australian public school teachers are regularly forced to dip into their own pockets for basic supplies, and schools are reliant on fundraising to provide essentials such as teaching staff and computers, according to the latest AEU State of our Schools survey.
All school-based members are requested to participate in the AEU's national State of our Schools Survey.
How much of an impact does commercialisation have in your school? We invite you to participate in a survey that will gather views, and concerns, regarding commercialisation in public education. By commercialisation we mean the provision of products and services by commercial organisations in curriculum, pedagogy, assessment and administration in public schools.
The Australian Education Union represents and advocates for all teaching staff in public education, as well as many support workers.
