Post-election report and AEU NT response

Post-election report and AEU NT response

Earlier this year the AEC conducted an election (E2015/265) on behalf of the AEU NT Branch to fill a vacancy for a Branch Executive Councillor representing the Darwin region. Bruce Cameron was elected unopposed.

The Branch received an adverse report from the AEC in relation to this election. This report related to an NT Branch rule which the AEC believed was difficult to apply. The AEC report can be found here and the AEU NT Branch response to the AEC can be read here.

The Branch recently applied to the Fair Work Commission to rectify the problem with our rules. These amendments have been approved by the FWC.

This information has been published to comply with the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009.
