2026 Branch Conference: Registration EOI

Expressions of Interest are now open for fully funded registration and travel to the 2026 Branch Conference, being held in Alice Springs on 14-15 August. Branch Conference is our highest decision-making forum: members debate motions, set policy, and shape the direction of our union. All members who wish to attend must submit an EOI so we can arrange travel, accommodation, and release from duties on your behalf.

Who should submit an EOI?

You should submit an EOI if you are:

  • Planning to nominate as a Conference Delegate: Delegates are financial members elected through the AEC to represent their sub-branch at Conference, with full voting rights. Nominations are open 9 June and close 7 July 2026.
  • Interested in attending as an Observer: observers attend without voting rights but can participate in networking, caucuses, and may be granted permission to speak in debate
  • Not sure: that’s fine! Submit now and we’ll be in touch

Positions are limited. Branch Executive will assess all EOIs. We especially encourage EOIs from Aboriginal members, for whom we have dedicated funding to support attendance.

Conference Delegates elected in Term 1 and Branch Executive members should also complete this form to confirm their place

This form serves as confirmation of your attendance rather than an application. Assuming you submit by the deadline, your expenses will be covered. If you are no longer able to attend, contact us as soon as possible so we can talk you through appointing a proxy.

(This refers to the NT Branch Executive only, not sub-branch or regional executives.)

Nominating as a delegate?

If you are planning to nominate as a Conference Delegate in the supplementary AEC election, please complete both:

  1. This EOI: so we can arrange travel and accommodation
  2. Your AEC nomination form: so you can be elected

These are two separate processes. The EOI does not nominate you, and being elected does not guarantee funded travel without an EOI.

Deadline

Submit your EOI by Friday 12 June to allow time for Branch Executive to assess applications and for our team to make travel arrangements before end of term.

Why the deadline? We need to book flights, accommodation, and arrange release from classes ahead of vendor deadlines and the school holidays. Late EOIs may not be able to be accommodated.

Submit your EOI

The form takes approximately 5 minutes to complete.
