At the AEU’s 2016 Federal Conference, AEU NT member Sally Mackander was awarded the Arthur Hamilton Award for outstanding achievement in Indigenous education, based on her work as a primary school teacher at Clyde Fenton Primary School in Katherine. Sally was presented with her award by AEU Federal President Correna Haythorpe.
