From 1 January 2025, membership fees will be adjusted to reflect the recent salary increases for members covered under the new NTPS Educators’ Agreement. This was a decision of the Branch Executive, to ensure fees remain aligned with our policy, which sets fees at 0.88% of salary. Fees for support staff and school council employees will remain unchanged, as their roles are not impacted by recent salary adjustments.

Our 2025 Fee Schedule is available here: AEU NT MEMBERSHIP FEES 2025

Membership fees fund critical activities, including sub-branch visits to address local concerns, training sessions for representatives, and support for workplace issues. Fees also enable key decision-making forums such as Branch Executive and Branch Conference, where elected representatives set priorities and determine how resources are used.

Members are encouraged to have their say in these decisions by participating in sub-branch meetings, attending regional council meetings, or stepping into roles on the Branch Executive or as a delegate to Branch Conference.

A detailed breakdown of how fees are used can be found in our annual reports, which are published on the About page of our website. Thank you for your continued support and solidarity, which ensures our collective strength. If you have any questions or want to get involved, please reach out.
