The AEU NT is actively preparing for the upcoming 2025 NTPS General Agreement negotiations, working alongside other NTPS unions led by the CPSU. Our goal is to secure fair pay, improved working conditions, and enhanced job security for all employees covered by the General Agreement. This includes school support officers (SESOs), psychologists, trade trainers, administrative officers, IT staff, and grounds and maintenance staff. The NTPS unions have already begun discussions with the new government to ensure smooth and timely negotiations, avoiding the delays seen in previous bargaining rounds. A key focus is on providing certainty around pay and conditions, crucial for attracting and retaining skilled public servants.
Through the NTPS Educators Agreement negotiations we secured a commitment to review support staff classifications and conditions to ensure their contributions are properly recognised.
