Enrol to vote and have your say on July 2

Gonski funding of our schools is a critical election issue and every vote counts.

Did you know that in 2013 at the Federal election 25% of young people between 18 and 24 weren’t enrolled to vote?

Now that the election has been announced for Saturday 2 July, if you haven’t done so already you have only a short time to enrol to vote.

The deadline to enrol is Monday 23 May.

We know that many of our members in the NT are working remote or have come recently from interstate and may not have updated their enrolment. So even if you think you are enrolled, it’s best to check. By getting your enrolment sorted out now, you can also ensure you’re enrolled to vote in the Territory parliamentary elections on Saturday 27 August.

Make sure you are enrolled to vote so you can make sure your vote counts for action in getting  Gonski funding into the future for your students, your school or college and your community. There is a clear choice on offer at this election when it comes to education policy and funding.

If you are enrolled, you can help by making sure colleagues in your workplace also have their enrolment up to date.
